Another Great Auction 29th January
A lot of two commemorative military miniatures cast in metal with a matte silver-toned finish, each mounted on a tiered dark-stained wooden plinth. One figure depicts a 19th-century soldier in ceremonial Highland dress holding a rifle, with a silver-toned nameplate inscribed The 93rd Sutherland Highlander Balaklava 1854. The second figure represents a mid-20th-century sailor in a helmet carrying a naval shell, with a plate reading The Naval Gunner 1944. The figures are constructed of cast metal with a matte finish and secured to wooden bases.
