Another Great Auction 12th February
A collection of gold-plated commemorative coins and medallions celebrating the British Royal Family, including issues from private mints such as American Mint and The Bradford Exchange. The group features a five-pound coin from The Life and Times of Her Majesty the Queen series with a colorized photographic portrait. Also included are two One Crown coins from Tristan da Cunha, one commemorating the 1953 Coronation and the other the 1945 Victory celebrations, both featuring colorized illustrative inserts and small silver-toned inlays. A further medallion commemorates the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, displaying the Royal Coat of Arms and a colorized photographic insert. Each piece exhibits a proof-like finish and is presented in a clear protective acrylic capsule. The obverses display the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with corresponding inscriptions.
