Another Great Auction 12th February
A collection of gold-plated commemorative One Crown coins issued by Tristan da Cunha and Gibraltar, including issues from the Jubilee Monarch series. The coins are struck in gold-layered cupronickel and feature various designs honoring Queen Elizabeth II and the British Royal Family. Notable designs include a photographic-style group portrait of the Royal Family, a depiction of the Queen on horseback, and a commemorative Royal Wedding coin dated 20 November 1947. Several specimens exhibit selective colorization, Union Jack motifs, and inset decorative stones. Inscriptions include ELIZABETH II QUEEN OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, REGINA GIBRALTAR, TDC, and ONE CROWN, with various dates including 2014, 2016, and 2017. Each coin is housed in an individual clear plastic protective capsule.
