Another Great Auction 12th February
A collection of gold-plated commemorative coins issued by the Cook Islands and produced by American Mint. The group includes pieces honoring Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee (1952–2012) and her long reign, alongside coins commemorating King Charles III’s (then Prince Charles) first visits to Canada and Australia. The obverse of each coin features color-accented pictorial designs with accompanying text including DIAMOND JUBILEE SIXTY YEARS, LONG TO REIGN, FIRST VISIT TO CANADA, and KING CHARLES III VIVAT REX. The reverse sides depict profile portraits of the monarchs with inscriptions including COOK ISLANDS, ELIZABETH II, and CHARLES III BY THE GRACE OF GOD KING DEFENDER OF THE FAITH. Each coin is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule.
