A collection of commemorative medallions and a challenge coin featuring various historical and organizational themes. The group includes a 2015 Winston Churchill Wisdom and Wit gold-plated proof commemorative medal featuring a portrait of Churchill on the reverse and a colored Union Jack with the inscription History will be kind to me for I intend to write it on the obverse. Also included is a large gold-colored VE Day commemorative medallion with a colored Union Jack and crowd scene on the obverse and the text Victory in Europe 8 May 1945 End of World War II in Europe on the reverse. The collection further contains a 1978 silver-colored Winnipeg Ojibway-Red River Indian Dollar depicting Sgt. Tommy Prince (1915-1977) on the obverse and a landscape scene on the reverse with the text Currency Value One Dollar Expires Sept 15, 1978. Additionally, there is a 2012 gold-colored commemorative medallion for Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee featuring the Royal Canadian Legion logo and the text Celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 2012. Completing the group is a multi-colored enameled challenge coin for the Chief Petty Officer’s Association in Molesworth, UK, established in 2001, featuring a bulldog character and the motto Results Not Excuses. The items are primarily struck in gold-colored and silver-colored base metals, with most pieces housed in clear plastic protective capsules.
