Another Great Auction 12th February
A trio of commemorative medallions celebrating the history of British currency. The group includes two gold-toned pieces and one larger silver-toned piece. The first gold-toned medallion features the Adam Smith twenty pound banknote design on the obverse, with a reverse depicting Britannia, a globe, and Union Jack flags. The second gold-toned medallion features the Ten Shilling Portrait Series C banknote design on the obverse, with a decorative crest on the reverse. The silver-toned medallion is inscribed History of British Currency and depicts Britannia with a map on the obverse, while the reverse features a Great Britain Three Pence 1937-1948 coin design. Each medallion is housed in a clear plastic protective capsule.
