A vintage four-tier corner whatnot or étagère of traditional design. The piece is constructed from dark-stained hardwood and features four graduated triangular shelves with bowed fronts. Each shelf is inset with a green leather surface featuring gold-tooled borders. The tiers are joined by spindle-turned supports that terminate in decorative finials. The unit is designed to fit into a corner for the display of books, plants, or decorative objects. No maker’s marks or labels are present.
