This lot consists of two commemorative military and jubilee medals. The first is an Italian WWI Commemorative Medal for the Italo-Austrian War 1915-1918, also known as the Medal for the Unity of Italy. Struck in bronze, the obverse features the profile of King Victor Emmanuel III in a military helmet, encircled by the inscription GUERRA PER LUNITA DITALIA 1915-1918. It is suspended from a fabric ribbon with vertical stripes of green, white, and red. The second item is a Soviet Jubilee Medal marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Lenin (1870-1970). The obverse displays a relief profile of Lenin with the dates 1870-1970. This medal is attached to a rectangular brass suspension bar wrapped in a red fabric ribbon with yellow stripes. Both items are presented in clear plastic protective sleeves with orange adhesive identification labels.
