Another Great Auction 12th February
This studio pottery ceramic vase features a tapering hexagonal form with a flared base and two horizontal bar-style handles at the rim. The vessel is finished in a mottled dark green matte glaze, with bronze-toned accents on the upper handles. The side panels are decorated with incised abstract geometric designs, some of which frame rectangular fields of reddish-brown slip. The unglazed underside bears an incised potter’s mark consisting of a stylized H and M, alongside the numeric notations 40/8.
