Another Great Auction 12th February
An Egyptian Revival pharaoh bust, likely a decorative sculpture or bookend, executed in cast metal with a heavy green verdigris patina. The figure depicts a pharaoh wearing a traditional striped nemes headdress and a long, braided false beard. The head is integrated into a rectangular pedestal base featuring cast Egyptian-style cartouches and hieroglyphic-inspired markings on several faces. The construction shows an intentionally aged finish with surface oxidation.
