Another Great Auction 12th February
A vintage perpetual desk calendar of chrome-plated metal construction, manufactured in Japan for the Irish souvenir market. The object features a circular pivoting face decorated with a polychrome illustration of two leprechauns, a pot of gold, and a rainbow, accompanied by the text GOOD LUCK FROM IRELAND. A central aperture displays the numerical date, which changes via the pivoting mechanism. The rectangular base contains two integrated rollers operated by side knobs to display the day of the week and the month through dedicated windows. The reverse of the base is engraved with the Irish inscription An tSeapáin a dhéanta, translating to Made in Japan.
