A Soviet-era SIMZA travel chess set featuring a folding case with a golden-brown faux-reptile skin textured exterior. The interior contains a peg-style chessboard with printed black and white squares and alphanumeric coordinates along the borders. The set comprises molded plastic chess pieces in cream and red, each fitted with a peg base to secure into the board. The case is constructed with a simple metal hinge and clasp mechanism.
