A collection of British royal commemorative medals and coins dating from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries. The group includes medals marking the 1897 Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria, and the coronations of Edward VII and Queen Alexandra (1902), George V and Queen Mary (1911), and George VI and Queen Elizabeth (1937). The pieces are struck in various materials including bronze, white metal, and silver-toned alloys. Several items retain original tri-color fabric ribbons and pin attachments. Included are localized issues from various municipalities such as West Bromwich, Darlaston Urban District Council, and Whitstable. Identified makers include Thomas Fattorini of Birmingham, Gaunt of London, and W.J.D. of Birmingham. Each item is individually presented in a clear plastic sleeve with a handwritten descriptive tag providing historical context and material specifications.
