Two Chinese bowls including a porcelain rice-grain pattern example and a cast metal example. The porcelain bowl features a translucent rice-grain pattern on the exterior wall with an interior decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red, and gilt floral motifs. An underglaze blue mark is located on the recessed base. The metal bowl is cast with an exterior dragon and meander pattern, featuring a raised Chinese character for longevity (shou) on the interior and base. The metal exhibits a dark patina with turquoise-colored oxidation in the recessed markings.
