Another Great Auction 12th February
A pair of contemporary African hand carved soapstone sculptures featuring abstract, interconnected figures in the Shona unity motif. One piece is rendered in a mottled terracotta-pink stone, while the other is composed of a speckled ochre-yellow stone. Both sculptures exhibit organic, looping forms with a smooth, polished finish. The designs represent stylized human figures in a unified composition. No maker marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
The larger sculpture measures approximately 8 inches in length.
