Another Great Auction 12th February
A trio of hand-carved soapstone sculptures originating from the Kisii region of Kenya. The collection includes two larger open-loop forms depicting stylized dual figures, commonly identified as family or lover motifs, and one smaller solid-bodied abstract figure. The pieces are carved from natural soapstone exhibiting a range of earth tones including creamy yellow, pale green, and grey-tan, with some pieces showing distinctive reddish-brown veining. Each sculpture features a smooth, polished finish and is designed with an integrated base. No visible artist marks or signatures are present on the items.
One sculpture measures approximately 8 inches in height.
