A vintage educational cutaway model of a vehicle rear axle and differential manufactured by VVR Lehrmittel. This instructional model is constructed with a cast metal housing featuring red-painted cutaway sections designed to reveal internal mechanical components, including the ring gear, pinion, and spider gears. The assembly is equipped with two wheels featuring treaded rubber tires and integrated mechanical levers and springs. The unit is mounted to a display board bearing the VVR LEHRMITTEL logo, identifying it as a German technical teaching aid. The 15 inch wide assembly demonstrates the mechanical translation of power through a differential system.
