Another Great Auction 12th February
A set of Staunton pattern chess pieces manufactured by Lardy and distributed by Horn. The pieces are crafted from turned and carved wood, with one side featuring a natural light finish and the other a black ebonized finish. The set is housed in a rectangular wooden box with a sliding lid and a single interior divider. The lid retains a fragmentary red and white paper label depicting a bird motif and partial text.
