Another Great Auction 12th February
A mid-20th-century Record Minor insulation tester, an electrical testing instrument housed in a dark brown Bakelite casing. The front panel is marked with the British military broad arrow symbol and reference 5G/203, alongside the RECORD and MINOR INSULATION TESTER branding. The analog meter face displays a scale in thousands of ohms up to infinity, noted as 500V GEN and includes the mark R/REC/5/54. The device features a top metal carry bar, two terminals, and a side-mounted hand crank for the internal generator, with instructions indicating a maximum handle speed of 160 R.P.M. It is accompanied by its original fitted dark brown leather carrying case, embossed with a broad arrow and 5G/204, and includes a leather shoulder strap.
