Another Great Auction 12th February
A collection of motorsports awards primarily associated with the Midland Motor Cycle Racing Club (MMCRC) and Louth & D.M.C.C., dating from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The group consists of several wooden shield-shaped plaques featuring brass-tone and enamel emblems with laurel wreath and sunburst motifs. Included is a silver-toned metal trophy cup mounted on a wooden base and a framed green felt display containing two award emblems. Inscriptions on the plaques and trophy reference Sidecar Championship events at UK circuits including Cadwell Park and Snetterton. Specific inscriptions include 1978 Sidecar Championship 2nd Pass – S. Hannah, Midland M.C.R.C. S/Car Pass Snetterton 1st 26.8.79, and Louth & D.M.C.C. Cadwell Park 1st 14.6.81.
