A mid-century Bohemian art glass vase designed by Josef Hospodka for Chribska Glassworks. The vessel features a deep amethyst-colored core cased in thick clear glass. The sculptural, organic form is defined by vertical ribbing that extends upward into multiple tapered projections. These projections are encircled by two horizontal, applied wavy bands of clear glass, creating an intertwined decorative effect near the rim. The piece is supported by a heavy, clear glass base that mirrors the lobed design of the body. This hand-blown glass sculpture demonstrates the sommerso technique and organic styling characteristic of 1960s and 1970s Czech glass production. No maker marks or signatures are present.
