This large Egyptian Revival decorative wall plaque, in the style of Cairoware, is crafted from brass with mixed metal inlays in silver and copper tones. The circular design features a central medallion depicting a profile bust in a traditional Egyptian headdress, surrounded by hieroglyphic-style characters. This central image is framed by concentric decorative bands, including an outer frieze with various scenes of figures in ancient Egyptian attire. The piece is finished with an ornate, scalloped cast-metal rim featuring floral motifs.
