Another Great Auction 12th February
A collection of various ceramic and terracotta vessels featuring a cylindrical unglazed terracotta wine cooler. The cooler is marked with black transfer print as The Original Suffolk Wine Cooler from Henry Watson Pottery, England, and includes the text Ideal for Use at Home or on Safari. The group also contains a large ovoid vase with a textured blue glaze. Complementing these are several white ceramic planters in square, rectangular, and rounded forms, including examples with textured lattice patterns similar to those produced by Takahashi of San Francisco. These planters are decorated with floral transfer designs depicting lilies and cherry blossoms in shades of yellow, pink, and orange. Decorative elements across the collection include scalloped rims and integral handles.
