Another Great Auction 12th February
A vintage German chalet-style cuckoo clock dating to approximately the 1960s. The piece features a hand-painted wooden case with a multi-colored peaked roof and floral motifs in red, blue, and yellow. The facade is adorned with three-dimensional decorative elements including a deer figurine, mushrooms, and foliate ledges. Two painted windows with shutters are positioned on the left side below a small cuckoo door. The circular black dial is marked with gold-toned Arabic numerals and the word FOREIGN printed below the center, and it features ornate white-finished hands. Accompanying the clock is a pinecone-shaped metal weight, metal chains, and a pendulum rod with a circular bob.
