A trio of glazed stoneware foot warmers, also referred to as bed warmers, crafted with cylindrical bodies, rounded shoulders, and flattened bases. The collection features varying shades of cream and tan salt glaze. Each vessel is equipped with a ceramic screw-top stopper. One example includes a decorative molded foliate motif encircling the filling port. The base of one bottle bears a clear black maker’s mark reading MADE IN ENGLAND BY PEARSON’S OF CHESTERFIELD ESTABLISHED 1810. Another bottle features an impressed mark indicating a 2pt capacity. These items were traditionally used as heat reservoirs for domestic bedding.
