Another Great Auction 12th February
A mid-20th-century vanity or manicure set featuring tools with faux-tortoiseshell handles and two small jars, housed in a green textured case with a pleated silk and satin-lined interior and an inset mirror. Included is an antique mechanical corkscrew of the Farrow and Jackson type, contained within a fitted, black leather-clad case with a red velvet lining. The lot also contains a historical Christmas card from the Royal Air Force Station Driffield, Yorkshire, signed by Mary and Reg, depicting a photograph of the first strategic missile (Thor) fired by the RAF at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
