Another Great Auction 12th February
An English fireplace companion set designed in the form of a standing knight in full plate armor. The figure is constructed of cast iron with a gold-toned body featuring a polychrome iridescent luster finish. The knight is depicted holding a sword pointed downward and stands upon a tiered, stepped base. The reverse of the casting is hollowed to serve as a caddy for a set of matching hearth tools, including a poker and a shovel. A small white adhesive label marked 1377 is present on the front of the base.
