A vintage surveying instrument manufactured by Cooke, Troughton & Simms, Ltd. of York, England. This dumpy level is constructed of gray-painted metal and features a telescopic sight with multiple adjustment knobs. The body of the instrument is inscribed in gilt lettering with the manufacturer’s name, York, England, PAT. Nº 242468, and serial number S036555. The instrument is housed within its original heavy-duty metal carrying case, which is finished in a matching gray paint and fitted with a leather strap handle.
