A vintage industrial key-cutting machine marketed under the brand name Jakey, manufactured by J and A Engineering Ltd. of 318 Green Lanes, London, N.4. The unit is powered by a Parvalux Electric Motors Ltd. motor from Bournemouth, England. The motor nameplate specifies 230/250V AC operation at 50Hz, single phase, with a 2.5 MFD capacitor. It features an output of 2 RPM and a gear ratio of 24.5:30. The machine is constructed primarily of cast metal with a heavy base and carriage assembly, featuring manual lever controls and a protective green plastic guard. A fixed power cord with a standard UK three-pin plug is attached. The motor is built to BSS 170 standards with Class E insulation.
