A pair of framed theatrical broadsides for the Theatre, Doncaster, dated September 22, 1830, and September 24, 1831. These playbills were printed by Brooke and Co. Printers of High-street, Doncaster. The September 1830 broadside advertises a production of Shakespeares Early Days, including a dioramic view of Stratford-upon-Avon and various popular plays such as Hamlet and Richard III. The September 1831 broadside advertises Englishmen in India and Luke the Labourer, or The Lost Son. Both documents provide comprehensive cast lists, scene descriptions, and admission prices for the boxes, pit, and gallery. The prints feature various period-appropriate typefaces and are presented in modern black frames under glass.
