Another Great Auction 19th February
This collection of hand-colored prints is from the series titled Officers of the British Army, published in London by W. Spooner. The subjects include the 1st Life Guards (No. 43) and the 15th (or the King’s Hussars) in Field Day Order (No. 47). Each print depicts a military figure on horseback in full regimental uniform. The prints are mounted within black mats featuring gold-toned borders and are housed in bird’s-eye maple burl wood veneer frames with gilt inner slips. The publisher’s information on the prints includes addresses at 259 Regent St. and 377 Strand.
