A Royal Worcester fine bone china dessert plate from the limited annual series The Birds of Dorothy Doughty. This 1974 edition is the third in a collection of twelve and features a hand-painted scene depicting blue-grey gnatcatchers in flight against a white ground. The plate is designed with a scalloped rim finished in gold gilding. The reverse is marked in gold script with the series title, bird species, production year, and the Royal Worcester crest. The item is housed in its original blue cloth-covered presentation box with a teal satin lining and includes the original descriptive booklet.
