The subject is shown in an off-the-shoulder blue gown with a white neckline and a golden brooch. The oval painting is set within a decorative gilt-metal bezel and housed in a rectangular frame featuring a tiled inlay, commonly referred to as a piano key frame, with a dark-toned perimeter. An indistinct signature is visible in the upper right background of the scene.
