A commemorative sterling silver proof coin issued by South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands in 2006 as part of a collection celebrating the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is titled The King George VI Coronation Silver Proof Coin. The reverse motif depicts King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, and Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret on Coronation Day in 1937. The obverse features a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is struck in .925 sterling silver and has a face value of two pounds. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and ownership detailing a limited mintage of 25,000 pieces. The coin is housed in a protective plastic capsule.
