Another Great Auction 26th February
A 1998 commemorative 20 Crowns coin from the Turks and Caicos Islands struck in silver to mark the 80th anniversary of the Royal Air Force. The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by the inscriptions TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, ELIZABETH II, 20 CROWNS, and the date 1998. The reverse depicts a Supermarine Spitfire fighter aircraft in flight, circumscribed by the text 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL AIR FORCE and the word Spitfire. The coin is presented in a clear plastic protective capsule and exhibits a proof or proof-like finish.
