A Franklin Porcelain commemorative tankard titled The Ashes Tankard 1882-1982, produced in 1982 to celebrate the centenary of the cricket series. The vessel is crafted from fine white porcelain and features black-and-white transfer-printed illustrations depicting a historical cricket match. The rim and base are accented with 22-karat gold bands. The underside is marked with the Franklin Porcelain logo, the Ashes urn motif, and the crests of the Marylebone Cricket Club and the Melbourne Cricket Club. This lot includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the presidents of the Marylebone Cricket Club and the Melbourne Cricket Club.
