Another Great Auction 26th February
A gold-toned metal commemorative plate minted by the Tower Mint, London, commissioned for passengers of the Cunard ocean liner Queen Elizabeth 2. The central well features an engraved silhouette of the ship surrounded by the inscriptions QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 and THE GREATEST SHIP IN THE WORLD. The item is presented in its original blue textured-paper box with a blue molded-plastic insert. Included is a corresponding Certificate of Authenticity confirming its exclusive production for QE2 passengers and noting that the hand-polished dies were destroyed following the completion of the edition.
