Another Great Auction 26th February
A George III sterling silver chamberstick, London, 1815, bearing the maker mark of William Burwash. The piece features a circular drip pan with a gadrooned rim and a central candle socket with a conforming gadrooned rim. A curved handle is attached to the base, terminating in a gadrooned thumbpiece. The underside of the base displays a clear set of London hallmarks including the lion passant, leopard head crowned, duty mark. Hand-engraved scratch weight or inventory marks are present on the underside.
