Another Great Auction 26th February
This collection of World War I era personal and military items features a silver British War Medal (1914-1918). The medal displays the effigy of King George V on the obverse and is named on the rim to a recipient with the surname Palmer. It is accompanied by its original silk ribbon. The group includes a framed embroidered silk work depicting Allied flags and floral motifs with the text God Be With You Till We Meet Again. Also present is an oval-mounted monochrome portrait photograph of a young man by Denton and Co., Sheffield Road, Barnsley. The collection is completed by several red fabric rosettes and remembrance poppies.
