A Chinese black lacquered box of oval form featuring a matching lid. The exterior is decorated with gold-toned floral and scrollwork motifs. The top of the lid contains an inset rectangular panel of finely woven natural-colored bamboo. The sides of the base also feature exposed woven bamboo construction.
