Another Great Auction 26th February
A collection of cut and etched crystal glassware, including pieces by Waterford. The group features several decanters of various forms, including a square-bodied spirit decanter with diamond and wedge cuts, a ship’s decanter with a broad starburst-cut base, and globular forms with faceted stoppers. The collection also contains footed tazzas, one with a prominent sawtooth rim and geometric cutting, and a large tapered vase featuring foliate acid etching. Accompanying the larger pieces is an assortment of drinking glasses, including examples with lattice and fern-etched patterns. The items demonstrate a variety of decorative techniques ranging from deep geometric wheel-cutting to fine acid etching typical of 19th and 20th-century production.
