Another Great Auction 26th February
A collection of framed artwork and printed ephemera featuring prints by Anton Pieck and an original etching by Hans Grimm-Lowe. The assortment includes several village street scenes by Anton Pieck and an original etching of Rothenburg ob der Tauber by Hans Grimm-Lowe (Original Radierung). The group also contains a vintage-style Pears Soap advertisement, an informational Know Your Dog chart for the King Charles Spaniel by Dick Twinney, and a calligraphic rendering of the poem Desiderata with heraldic motifs. Additionally, the collection features a map of the British Isles with the compliments of Green and Bingham Ltd, architectural views of London Tower Bridge, and various wildlife and floral studies depicting deer and rabbits. The items are housed in a variety of wood and gilt-finished frames.
Condition report:
Overall condition is fair to good. The paper surfaces show signs of age-related toning and occasional foxing. The frames exhibit minor wear, including small scuffs and abrasions consistent with age and handling.
