Another Great Auction 26th February
A maritime telescope manufactured by Wilson & Gillie of North Shields, England. The instrument is constructed with a brass body featuring a tan-colored, textured leather wrap on the main barrel. The brass components, including the objective lens housing and the eyepiece, show a vintage patina. The maker’s name and location, WILSON & GILLIE NORTH SHIELDS, are engraved into the brass near the ocular end.
