This lot consists of two specialized scientific instruments used in the engineering and mining sectors. The first item is a National Coal Board Methane Flow Calculator, a circular slide rule manufactured by Fearns Calculators of Newcastle upon Tyne. The instrument is constructed from white plastic with a transparent cursor and is housed in its original black protective case. It features various scales for calculating gas flow, including Quantity (C.F.M.), Orifice Factor, Purity Correction, and Differential Pressure. The second instrument is a Dr. Dollar’s Clinometer, manufactured by Cutrock Engineering Co. Ltd. of London. This tool features a clear plastic semicircular scale for measuring angles of slope and inclination, mounted within a light blue frame. It is accompanied by a tan textured protective pouch.
