A pair of English fine bone china lidded trinket boxes from The Royal Collection, Buckingham Palace, dated 1999. The design is inspired by the silk damask of the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace, featuring a gilded scroll and damask pattern on a pale yellow ground. The sides of the boxes are decorated with gilded heraldic lion motifs. The bases are marked in gold lettering: BUCKINGHAM PALACE 1999 ENGLISH FINE BONE CHINA and DESIGN FROM THE SILK DAMASK OF THE WHITE DRAWING ROOM. Each item is accompanied by its original white presentation box branded THE ROYAL COLLECTION and a descriptive gold-tone insert.
