A Coalport fine bone china commemorative plate produced to celebrate the 1977 Silver Jubilee of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. The plate features a central black silhouette profile of the Queen designed by Phyllis Arnold, accented with gold-gilt details. The central motif is surrounded by the inscription HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II SILVER JUBILEE 1952 – 1977. The wide border is decorated with gold-gilt scrolling foliate motifs and circular roundels marking the jubilee dates. Commissioned by Grattan and manufactured in Stoke-on-Trent, this piece is part of a limited edition of 5,000. The item is housed in its original white presentation box with a blue satin-lined interior and includes an informational card with printed signatures from representatives of Grattan and Coalport.
