A pair of Chinese carved bamboo bitong brush pots featuring intricate high-relief scenes. The cylindrical forms are crafted from bamboo with a deep, reddish-brown stained finish and a polished patina. The decorative carvings depict figures and scholars set within a traditional landscape of pine trees and bamboo groves, with textured foliage and recessed panels. The objects exhibit natural vertical graining throughout the bamboo surface. No visible signatures or maker’s marks are apparent. Each bitong is standing 8 inches in height.
