Another Great Auction 26th February
A trio of Mason’s Ironstone ceramics in the Brown Velvet pattern, comprising two vases and a converted table lamp base. Each piece features a flared neck and bulbous body decorated with printed and hand-painted floral motifs in earthy colours of brown, orange, and yellow, enriched with gilded highlights against a cream ground. The vases are supported by shaped octagonal feet, while the lamp base is mounted on a dark wooden plinth. The items bear the Mason’s crown maker’s mark on the underside, identifying them as IRONSTONE MADE IN ENGLAND and specifying the pattern name Brown Velvet. The collection includes the tallest vase 12 inches in height.
