Another Great Auction 26th February
A group of 22 vintage British travel maps and motoring publications, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The collection includes numerous Bartholomew’s Revised Half-Inch Contoured Maps covering regions such as the New Forest, Oxford, Durham, Vale of Trent, Dorset, and Sussex. Many of these maps are cloth-backed and feature the Royal warrant for the late King George V. The lot further contains a blue cloth-bound Royal Automobile Club Guide and Handbook for 1960, a Ward Lock and Co Motoring and Touring Map for Cambridge, Peterborough, and the Fens, and an Ordnance Survey contoured road map of The Dukeries presented in a protective case. Also present are Bartholomew’s New Reduced Survey maps for Durham and South Northumberland.
