An antique balance scale by S. Mordan and Co., London. The apparatus is constructed with a black-painted cast iron mechanism mounted on a two-tiered wooden base, featuring a shaped light wood top and a rectangular dark-stained lower platform. The scale includes a rectangular brass weighing platform and a vertical graduated beam for measurement. Accompanying the scale is a collection of weights, with markings including 2 kg visible on one.
